Sky Lanterns showcase Cathayan innovation, serving as both mobile artillery platforms and command posts to observe foes from above and coordinate forces during combat. Each Sky Lantern features a large floating lantern supported by a caged Vermilion Warbird, with their elevated vantage point making them especially prized by Magistrates—skilled strategists renowned for orchestrating Grand Cathay’s armies.

The large, multi-part plastic Sky Lantern model offers the choice to mount either a Magistrate or a Strategist, with the option to use the miniature on foot using the included square base. The crew can be assembled armed with iron hail guns and dragon fire bombs or long-barreled crane guns, while the lantern can be outfitted with a bomb rack. This kit also includes a 115-piece transfer sheet.
