THE STORY
As the Indomitus Crusade commences, powerful armadas depart from Terra on a crucial mission to stabilize Imperium Sanctus after the formation of the Great Rift. Under the command of the resurrected primarch, Roboute Guilliman, a massive force heads towards the sacred planet of Gathalamor, seeking stable warp routes to expand throughout the besieged southern region of the Imperium.

However, concerning news reaches the Imperial Regent's attention. Alerts from a time-honored people, and unsettling stillness from the designated army defending Gathalamor until his arrival, prompt Guilliman to dispatch a scouting expedition to the planet, led by Shield-Captain Achallor of the Adeptus Custodes.

A world on the edge of destruction is revealed to Achallor: an Imperial army in defeat and agents of Abaddon the Despoiler unearthing a powerful weapon that not only endangers the primarch, but potentially the sacred Throne of Terra.
